Fall has officially arrived, and with the changing leaves comes changes at the Swinomish Casino and Lodge.
An expansion project is underway for the casino with renovations bringing in more gaming and dining options for guests, as well as new and improved offices, break rooms and work spaces for employees. A timeline for the project completion has yet to be finalized but is estimated at 15 months.
During the next few weeks guests can watch for:
- Demolition of the Bingo Hall
- Demolition of the 2nd level administration offices
- Valet Exit closure and relocation of the smoking area
- A new keno space
The closure of the bingo hall on October 8th was the first step in the renovation process and necessary to accommodate the growing number of team members. The bingo hall renovations are expected to be completed around the first of the year as a new and improved office space, break room and storage area for the Swinomish team members. This area is currently closed to all guests while construction is underway and any employees in the bingo hall must be wearing hard hats and safety vests, please stay tuned for its reopening!
The next step in the renovation process is an expansion of the gaming floor and a new non-smoking section for guests. Guests can expect to find more gaming options, a new Player’s Club, and a new cash cage on the casino floor. The new non-smoking section of the casino will include more gaming options for non-smoking guests and will be located closer to the lodge entrance for easier guest access.
Following the expansion of the gaming floor will be new and improved dining options. The Two Salmon Café will be closing its doors to make room for a 24-hour café, food court, coffee bar and an expanded 10 Sports Bar. Major kitchen renovations and upgrades will follow to accommodate the new dining upgrades.
